It's been a few months since the last time I opened up my Google Reader catalog of the blogs I subscribe to on here. As I've acquired a good deal more I thought I would share another 15 of them with you.
I previously shared 30 picks in August 2008, and 15 more in November.
So check out some of my latest feed additions and add them to yours if you like:
- About.com - Human Resources - Learn from the wisdom and experience of management and OD consultant Susan M. Heathfield. Recent employee engagement posts have covered becoming a sage and motivating staff during change.
- America's Best Companies - ABC, a leading provider of tools and resources to help small business owners stay in business, has a lot of good stuff, but I have especially enjoyed their latest series of small business tips on everything from boosting business performance via the Internet to promoting from within.
- BizBox (Slate) - A potpourri of information for small firms. Topics range from legislation to management inspiration and practical tips.
- BK Strategy Insights - You can learn a lot from this Chicago-based accounting and consulting firm, which we've recently turned to for help in understanding what's on the minds of leaders of privately held firms in the Windy City.
- BuzzMachine - I've got to mention this business and tech trends blog by the author of one of my favorite books this year, What Would Google Do?, Jeff Jarvis. If you're looking for a diagnosis on what is happening now in the newspaper industry (and what it could have done to avert disaster), look no further.
- Career Renegade - Instilling you with the "knowledge, skills, ability, confidence and support to pull off what everyone around you says [is] impossible," multifaceted entrepreneur Jonathan Fields expands on the advice and insights in his book of the same name here, a la Mike Michalowicz.
- Gary Hamel on HBS - People hold Hamel in the same high esteem as Jim Collins, and no wonder. His books have appeared on every management best seller list. Here on the Harvard Business School site you can attend a virtual master class on the right way to lead and inspire innovation in your firm.
- HRMorning - Start your day off right with this solid resource of not just HR info, but benefits, legal, and tech news. Keep an eye out especially for their polls of HR managers on topical issues.
- Knowledge@Wharton - Leadership and Change - Between HBS and this site, you can get everything you need to know when it comes to cutting edge research and strategies on effective leadership. Fast fact: We've turned to Wharton Center for Human Resources Director Peter Cappelli for an academic perspective among our Top Small Workplaces judging panel the last two years.
- Sloan Work and Family Research Network - One of my latest additions, turn to this blog and center, which operates out of Boston College, for recent, leading research on the dynamics between work and family life.
- Social Media Science - If you want to go the next level up from Common Craft in understanding social media – especially in how it helps in branding, reaching more interested parties, and generally getting ROI for it – you need to follow this blog.
- Sramana Mitra on Strategy - If you want to find the nexus of prolificacy, expertise, and strategy/innovation, you'll find it here. I have been impressed by the sheer amount of technical information that Mitra, a longtime Silicon Valley strategist and regular Forbes contributor, offers here.
- The Science of Work - Learn all about team building and employee engagement best practices designed to create "magnetic" workplaces from the staff at consultancy Quantum Workplace.
- Three Star Leadership - Leadership author, speaker, and consultant Wally Bock provides "insight, information, and pointers to resources to do a better job and live a better life." Recent topics include helping your employees grow during a downturn and improving your decision making.
- Working World Cafe - Get employment law updates and news and opinion on workplace team building from Bernie Dyme and other members of Perspectives Ltd, a provider of employee assistance programs, OD services, and more.
