In evaluating your team building and employee engagement activities, do you seek unbiased data on work and family trends, legislation, and statistics? Of course you do – who wouldn't want this information, sans lobbyist spin?
You can get it in regular doses, for free, by turning to the Sloan Work and Family Research Network, which operates out of Boston College. The Sloan Network just published their latest work-family policy Mini-Brief, which encompasses such employee engagement best practices as paid sick days, family leave, flexible work schedules, and phased retirement.
I like getting this information in an easily digestible one pager. I especially appreciate the Recent Legislation section; I'd have to do a lot of surfing to boil this information down to the point that it is here. That's a value-add when it comes to my time.
So check out the Sloan Network's policy Mini-Brief, and while you're at it, don't miss their equally informative blog, which I listed in my recent post on 15 more blogs for small business and entrepreneurship.
